Fliss is a solo project by Felicity DeCarle of Ottawa band Sparklesaurus.

While Sparklesaurus is adorned by synths, sparkles, and hard-hitting rhythms, Fliss strips it all back to its core – where her spell bounding lyrics and melodies are raw and exposed. DeCarle’s songwriting is mature and measured – never does it dip into self-indulgence or musical extraneity. She is a master of analogy and concentric wordplay, and her songs often delve into the darkest depths of humanity, but always with a gentle undercurrent of sweetness and optimism. Her music is oddly intoxicating, her voice honest and lilting, drawing the listener into each song and into themselves.
