French Boutik: New video, London, Bristol & Paignton, Paris & Album Release Update ! Hello Friends ! Bonjour les amis ! We have been very busy the past few weeks : After 3 straight weekends of video clip shooting with Fred Eagle, we were thrilled to finally receive Front Pop physical copies in time for its release 21 October ! They are both beautiful with printed lyric inner sleeves, and the vinyl version with a lovely pullout poster with photos by Derek D'Souza. 1. New Video : Je Regarde les Tigres And the first product of our filming frenzy is ready : We put on silly outfits and posed as cats for Fred to the tune of our anthem to debating politics and watching cat videos (we are guessing some of you may engage in these activities) called Je Regarde les Tigres. We hope you enjoy it ! 2. UK in November : 3rd (100 Club London) 4th (Bristol), & 5th (Paignton) ! And now, we are planning and packing up for our UK launch concerts Thursday-Sunday of next week ! 1st up is the legendary 100 club in London Thursday November 3rd, followed by our 1st trip to Bristol for the FrATHouSe with The Bongolian Friday the 4th, and finally our 1st time in Paignton for the Vinyl Avengers at the Big Bang Mod Event with Yellowstone. I Je Regarde les Tigres The 1st new video, shot by Fred Eagle in Paris (yes the living room cleverly disguised by fish ;-) ! SBD Productions Interview In anticipation of our concert next Thursday, an interview with Gabriela about Front Pop for Sweet but Deadly Promotions. 3. Crowdfunding Update : All Vinyl and CDs are Sent ! We had a giant signing and sending session, so crowdfunding copies have all been sent and should be arriving as we speak. Please give it a few days and if not received by this time next week do let us know. And of course, the official release date of 21 october means that digital copies are now available on Amazon, iTunes and all the usual outlets, and you can stream it for free on Spotify and Deezer. Paris Modernist Weekender We are still in recovery mode after the fantastic first edition of the Paris Modernist Weekender, with great DJs and friends from all over Europe and even Canada. We had an excellent time, thanks to our guest musicians Olivier Popincourt (organ) and Graham Lentz (percussion and acoustique guitar) as well as our sound engineer Antoine Demantké. And thanks and congratulations to organizers Paris Magic City, Le Cercle Modernist and 75 MNS & PSC. We do not doubt there will be a 2nd edition in 2017 :-) 5. More Reviews and Future Plans We had a very nice review up on the Italian Tonyface blog HERE, and Je Regarde les Tigres was tune of the day in Spain's Condenado Fanzine HERE. Grazie/Gracias ! We have 2 other video clips by Fred Eagle almost done and coming soon. Besides cats, we had lots of fun dressing up for bad internet dates, cops and robbers and a murderous mafia family and those will be coming soon. After the UK visit, we will play another fun show in Paris (Gilbert Joseph record shop 25 November) as well as our first time in the south of France, Saturday 25 February in Nice with friends The Zemblas.
