I like your idea of forming a label with only proactive musicians.I mean what's the point of fanning someone if you don't even listen to it? That's rude and insincere.Best musical wishes from the Doc of Rock

The idea is to eliminate those that doing nothing but add. It isn't just the policy of music sites that's detrimental to unsigned musicians, it's also the promotion policy of unsigned musicians, themselves. Because most never do anything more than add numbers, never listening, never leaving feedback, disillusion spreads, interest and enthusiasm fades--music sites soon become white elephants!

People that genuinely listen and leave feedback are an extremely rare breed, so a great deal of fanning is just about adding numbers, which is, in truth, a pointless exercise, because what we all are hoping for is to reach more ears with our tunes. That's why I spend so much time seeking out the artists that don't just add. Bringing them together into one place, where they can find each other, could save a lot of unnecessary adding, which means you save valuable time, and artists are less likely to become disheartened and throw in the promotion towel. I operate many groups on FB, which also function according to this philosophy; I seek out artists, like yourself, and share your posts to groups on there, which brings more traffic to your page :) Ste

Had a lot to do on Facebook, and elsewhere, setting all of this up. spent several months doing it, in-between working on, and promoting my own music. this is one of many playlists I've put together (made of musicians that are in the habit of exchanging support).
