Hi everyone. I write song lyrics. Does anyone want to collaborate with me ? What changes would you make to these songs ?
Here are 2 songs that I wrote :
-----------------------
SONG # 1:
Phony Friend
Every day you visited me
And you give me the same tired lines.
I just shook my head and listened
As you bent and twisted your lies.
So just take your frown
And go, phony friend.
For there is no friendship
Waiting here for you.
Just take your frown
Please just go away phony friend,
I don't want to see you anymore
What I need is a true-blue pal.
Pipe dreams of the good life
Were your stock in trade.
But you would run for cover
When your dreams started to fade.
So just take your frown
And go phony friend.
For there is no friendship
Waiting here for you.
Just take your frown
Please just go away phony friend,
I don't want to see you anymore
What I need is a true-blue pal.
You played the game well
Now I wish you'd go to hell.
Your hand was in my till
And your knife was in my back.
You are looking to "head for the hills"
And stick me with all of your bills.
How could you go and treat me like that ?
All you ever wanted was my money,
Please be on your way.
Tricky trader
The bank is closed today.
All that is left within
Are Cobwebs of deceit
So just take your frown
And go phony friend.
For there is no friendship
Waiting here for you.
Just take your frown
Please just go away phony friend,
I don't want to see you anymore
What I need is a true-blue pal.
You pledged to me your best,
But, then your drugs erased the rest.
You have to understand,
That I am out from your command.
So just take your frown
And go phony friend.
For there is no friendship
Waiting here for you.
Just take your frown
Please just go away phony friend,
I don't want to see you anymore
What I need is a true-blue pal.

SONG # 2 :
BUFFALO
While traveling southwards on a back country lane,
I came on the town where first I grew.
And I stopped to climb up my favorite hill once again,
Looking down upon the rusty railroad tracks.
I am running in Buffalo,
Watching the snow come down.
I am running in Buffalo,
Trying not to frown.
I watched Kaisertown moving as the day went slowly by,
In the fields we play here,
My very first friends and I,
Under snowy "Queen City" skies,
Under snowy "Nickel City" skies.
I am running in Buffalo,
Watching the snow come down.
I am running in Buffalo,
Trying not to frown.
My dusty trophies,
I throw against my walls,
Because they never helped me at all.
My parents never taught me,
What was real,
Money and corruption,
A lot of crooked backroom deals.
I am running in Buffalo,
Watching the snow come down.
I am running in Buffalo,
Trying not to frown.
The old polluted river lies sleeping under the sky.
A lot of jobs are gone to far off foreign lands.
The ebb and flow of daily life,
Reminds me of the shifting sands.
I am running in Buffalo,
Watching the snow come down.
I am running in Buffalo,
Trying not to frown.
Clocks that are run by people,
End up running some people.
I am tired of the silly games
That some people play.
Time is a mystery
That makes me curse a lot,
You never hold it at all till it's gone !
I am running in Buffalo,
Watching the snow come down.
I am running in Buffalo,
Trying not to frown.
