Bios:
Alexandra van de Kamp is the Executive Director for Gemini Ink, San Antonio’s Writing Arts Center (www.geminiink.org). A native New Yorker, she has now lived in San Antonio, TX for seven years. Her most recent books of poems are Kiss/Hierarchy (Rain Mountain Press 2016) and The Park of Upside-Down Chairs (CW Books 2010). Her third book, Ricochet Script, will be published by from Next Page Press (https://nextpage-press.com) on April 1, 2022. She has also published several chapbooks, including A Liquid Bird Inside the Night (Red Glass Books 2015) and Dear Jean Seberg (2011), which won the 2010 Burnside Review Chapbook Contest. Her poems have been published in journals nationwide, such as The Cincinnati Review, The Texas Observer, Denver Quarterly, Great Weather for MEDIA, Washington Square, Sweet: A Literary Confection, and Tahoma Literary Review. Thomas Fucaloro The winner of a performance grant from the Staten Island Council of the Arts and the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, Thomas Fucaloro has been on six national slam teams. He holds an MFA in creative writing from the New School and is a co-founding editor of Great Weather for Media and NYSAI press. He is an adjunct professor at Wagner College and BMCC where he teaches world lit and advanced creative writing. Thomas has released 2 full lengths: It Starts From the Belly and Blooms and Inheriting Craziness is a Soft Halo of Light by Three Rooms Press. He also has 3 chapbooks: Mistakes Disguised as Stars (Tired Hearts Press), Depression Cupcakes (Yes, Poetry) and There is Always Tomorrow (Mad Gleam Press). His new Chapbook The Only Gardening I Do is When I Give Up by Finishing Line Press will be out in August.
Mario José Pagán Morales is a Nuyorican poet and cultural worker born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, and raised in the South Bronx. His work is anthologized in The BreakBeat Poets, Volume 4: LatiNEXT (Haymarket Books, 2020), Birds Fall Silent in the Mechanical Sea (great weather for MEDIA, 2019), and in the 2019 “The Performance of Breath” edition of The Acentos Review (edited by Peggy Robles-Alvarado and Lupe Méndez). Pagán is a founding member of the Títere Poets. In addition, he is a Pushcart Prize nominee and co-founder of the La Esquina open mic.

Brownstone Poets on Summer Hiatus: No Zoom Readings in August and September
Hello Poets and Friends,
Brownstone Poets is taking a summer hiatus. There will be no Zoom readings held in August and September. We return on Saturday, October 29 with Broadstone Book authors: Susana H. Case, Margo Taft Stever, and Amy Barone.
However, Brownstone Poets will be at the New York City Poetry Festival on Governor’s Island on Saturday, September 10 at 11:30 a.m. on The White Horse Stage. I will be hosting this 30-minute slot. The featured readers are:
Roxanne Hoffman, Dorothy Cantwell, Ptr Kozlowski, and Megha Sood.

Poets: – Christopher Hirschmann Brandt is a writer, political activist, translator, carpenter, actor and theatre worker who teaches poetry workshops, Peace and Justice and theatre courses at Fordham and Pace Universities. His poems, essays and translations have been published in Spain, France, and Mexico as well as in US journals and anthologies. – Ama Birch lives and works in New York City. Belladonna* published her chapbook, “(Spirit)” in June of 2022 as part of their Lesbian Allstars series. – Patricia Carragon has been widely published online and in print. Her debut novel, Angel Fire, is from Alien Buddha Press. Her books from Poets Wear Prada are Meowku and The Cupcake Chronicles. She hosts Brownstone Poets and is the editor-in-chief of its annual anthology. She is an executive editor for Home Planet News Online. – Linda Kleinbub is the curator of Fahrenheit Open Mic, founder of Pen Pal Poets & editor of Pink Trees Press. Linda was one of six local poets invited to read at the Americas Poetry Festival of New York 2021. Some of her work is found in The Best American Poetry, Brooklyn Rail, The Observer, and Sensitive Skin Magazine. Honored to the skies to have known steve cannon and be one of the Tribes mom, grandmom, Lives downtown and swims daily. – Jenifer Vernon is author of Rock Candy on West End Press and active with the Working-Class Studies Association (WCSA). You can see one of her poems, “Bobbie the Girl,” on WCSA’s website under the WCSA Creatives Corner section. She and Rosie O’Halloran got this section going in 2022. She lives on Nisenan lands in a place currently called Folsom, California with her family; and teaches communication and journalism at Sierra (Community) College.” – Howard Pflanzer (poetry organizer) poet, playwright, and lyricist and co-founder of Crossways Theatre. Dead Birds or Avian Blues, his book of short poetic satiric plays and poetry, was published by Fly By Night Press. He was the prizewinning Poet of the Month of The Poetry Company. His hybrid performance piece, Walt Whitman Opera, adapted from Whitman’s poetry with music by Constance Cooper, was presented at the undergroundzero festival in New York.
