JOHN EDDIE is an American rock singer. EDDIE moved to New Jersey in the 1970s and became a popular club circuit musician there, in venues such as The Fast Lane, The Stone Pony, Tradewinds and The Birch Hill, occasionally performing with BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN.
JOHN signed with COLUMBIA RECORDS and released two albums including his 1986 self-titled debut, JOHN EDDIE. The first single, "Jungle Boy", peaked on Billboard at #17 Rock and #52 Hot 100. At the label's behest, his long-time band was replaced for the album by members of SPRINGSTEEN'S E STREET BAND. He opened for BOB SEGER and THE KINKS in the late 1980s. He then signed with ELEKTRA RECORDS where he was chosen to represent Elektra on their 40th Anniversary record called Rubaiyat with his version of THE CURE'S "In Between Days". Since then EDDIE has recorded independently and toured extensively. He subsequently secured a record deal with Lost Highway Records and released Who the Hell is John Eddie? The album produced three Top 10 singles at Triple-A Radio. KID ROCK has covered "Lowlife", "Forty" and "Happy New Year" all written by JOHN. His latest album, 2012's Same Old Brand New Me features 18 songs. In 2013, the song EDDIE co-wrote with BRANTLEY GILBERT, "More Than Miles", became a top country hit for GILBERT, peaking at No. 6 on the country charts. He also had a song featured in the ZAC EFRON film, At Any Price, entitled "The Man I Am" that was released in 2013. Recently SAMMY HAGAR recorded one of John's songs, "Loud".

There are a whole lot of good things going on with StoneBaby this month.... A Great show with Craig Simon and Loretta Allen December 1st in New Hope, PA at John and Peters starts things off...then on Saturday the 3rd of December StoneBaby has been invited back to Montana Studios in Manhattan to entertain at a great private party.....On the 22nd we will be playing a benefit at The Legendary Dobbs, that Benefits Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation (The Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation keeps music alive in our schools and communities by donating musical instruments to under-funded music programs, giving youngsters the many benefits of music education, helping them to be better students and inspiring creativity and expression through playing music.
We believe that kids thrive when given the chance to learn and play music. Putting an instrument into their hands improves the quality of their education and their lives. The window is brief and all kids deserve a chance to play music in school!)
While all this is going on, we will be finishing our new 7 song EP at Big Sky Studios in Springfield PA.
