Had a great rehearsal last night, got the set worked out for the next show. We'll debut our version of the Tears For Fears song, "Mad World." You can check out the recording from rehearsal on our facebook page, just go to www.facebook.com/gethydra, and there it is! Also worked a bit more on a song called "Sunday Saints," very interesting arrangement on this one, definitely a hard rockin' tune though...see ya! hPr

Kinda funny, not sure what's up next. We were hoping to open for Robin Trower at House of Blues, but for some reason they picked a Cincy band to open, way to take care of the Cleveland scene that supports the venue! What can ya do??? We've asked about Queensryche or Ted Nugent, we'll see. So for now, back to working on new tunes, and trying to figure out when we'll be able to squeeze in some studio time! Later...hPr

Wow, everything went off with out a hitch(well almost, more in a few lines). Sometimes when you do things like this the potential for disaster exists. You forget a piece of gear, some one is late, of course Kenn forgets his license and has a hard time getting into the arena! Soundcheck went great, thanks to Tommy Stazzones' Production Assistance company, and Billy and Tony, nice to have competent people working on our "on stage" sound. We get to half time and we NAIL Military Man, though people told us sound from the Q's PA wasn't mixed properly, what can ya do, that one was out of our hands. We hope the sentiment and passion came through, we were absolutely pumped for this performance! We start our second set, and right at the end of our first song one of my guitar strap screws comes right out! Yikes! I'm trying to hold the guitar, play and sing, but couldn't manage any of it, some times rock-n-roll is a little messy! Oh well, plan b was to switch guitars and I was good to go for the rest of the set... Thanks to all that made this happen, it was something a little different, regardless we had a blast and hope to do it again before season end. Nice job on the team too, when you're starting QB goes down it can be tough to rally, but they did and now we're 4-2! Most importantly, thanks to our Military, without freedom, NONE of this would be possible! "Military Man, won't you come back home, you don't have to fight this war alone, Military Man stop, turn around, look and see, you're a HERO next to me"...hPr

In a few days we'll be down at The Q! This morning Megan from the Gladiators and I met Dominick(The Q) to discuss the logistics of setting up for sound check and all that good stuff. This is going to be so cool, not to mention for a GREAT cause! Please help us spread the word, we can't do it with you telling your friends, and their friends telling their friends! Peace...hPr

Looks like the stakes have been upped! Now ticket sales for the April 29th game for The Cleveland Gladiators will now benefit the USO! More info at this link:
