Guaranteed to bring out your inner-hillbilly, Tulsa-based Klondike5 String Band plays foot-stompin', yee-hawin', old-timey music! These fine young folks seem to have been born several decades too late as they whip out the bluegrassy-sounds from yesteryear on their classic instruments. Matt Skelton heads the band up with rhythm guitar and gritty lead vocals while his bride Carmen saws the double-stops on her fiddle and sings with a soprano voice that will have you swearing on your momma's Porter peach pie that she's straight from the Appalachian mountains. Alex Adams sprinkles banjo arpeggios while Rosie Gorrel thumps the lines on the bass fiddle in time with washboard and mouth-harp player extraordinaire Ted Ward. Along with numerous original tunes that are guaranteed to get you on your feet, the band digs deep into the dark corners of the traditional music songbook to resurrect numbers that are hundreds of years old, songs that have just always been there, but are seldom heard anymore.
