Non-profit! klondike5 play 10:30pm at SOUNDPONY stage July 24th. Live music. Food. Drink. And lots of groovy people. The Center of the Universe Festival is a two-day, non-profit music and arts experience held in Tulsa’s booming Brady Arts District. The event, scheduled for July 24 and 25, 2015, is named after the popular downtown Tulsa landmark, the Center of the Universe, located on the Boston Avenue pedestrian bridge between Archer and First Street. Founded in 2013, the festival brings a huge crowd every year. WHAT TO EXPECT The 2015 festival will feature more than 100 bands on multiple outdoor stages and numerous club venues. So, yeah, if you like music, you’ll love this event. But do your homework ahead of time because with that many bands playing in so many places, you will want a game plan to soak in all the tunes you want to hear. In addition to all the live music, a street market gives local and regional artists a platform to display and sell their work. Hungry? Thirsty? Behind on your people watching? Choose from the many restaurants, bars and clubs in the Brady District or walk up to numerous food trucks and other vendors we bring in to fill your belly and wet your whistle. MORE THAN MUSIC We want the good times to roll long after the last guitar pick is thrown. That’s why we give back. Our primary focus is to help the Brady Arts District continue to grow. We also donate a portion of festival proceeds to Tulsa Public Schools’ music program and to the trolly service that helps make this very walkable district even easier to get around. It’s our way of waving our lighters in support of a higher cause.
