“Somewhere deep in the heart of La Crosse, Wisconsin sits the metal band Zero Minus One and they are waiting for you to discover them. “Against All Odds” isn’t a cover like I thought, but their own track that is their take on overcoming the obstacles life throws at you. The pump it up musically with the intro to “Tonight” and give this heart pounding performance with the arrangement, while the vocals balance everything out. So used to the female lead, we get a different change of pace with a masculine lead in “Unbound.” It’s nice they switch every once in awhile to shake things up and keep listeners on their toes. That back and forth shines in “Dualistic,” and it’s possibly their best and strongest track. I think it stands as the cornerstone of what Zero Minus One’s sound is all about – rock. So if you’re into bands that rock it out with a metal influence, check them out today.”

Q: What inspired you to play the music you play and who are some of your hero's in life?
A: I'll give you my answer Shane. This is kinda like a timeline for me. Starting at a early age my inspiration to play music was my Dad even though he didn't play a instrument. He was a music fan but He worked for a vending company and would bring home the extra records out of the juke boxes. Christmas morning feeling when that happened. Then I would spend hour upon hours discovering music. Bands like Creed and Stone Temple Pilots got me to come out of my shell and I realized I could sing and then gradually played in cover bands after that. I always struggled to find my metal voice until I worked really hard to try to scream like Phil from Pantera. Lost my confidence a few years back after a divorce people telling me I wasn't that good. So I stayed out of bands for a few years and as soon as I heard Volbeat it all came back to me. Shortly after that I met Abbey and started a cover band with Jeff and that turned into Zero Minus One. Tried to keep it short but all in all musicians are my heroes in life for the most part. Jason ZMO
