Zed makes rock the way it should be made. Loud guitars, a dose of whiskey and a middle finger. Zed is from the bay area in California and their sound is grounded in heavy, gritty groove. If Led Zeppelin were punk rockers, they’d probably sound alot like Zed. Or maybe if Black Flag started jamming to James Brown, they’d sound like Zed. Or maybe we don’t know what the hell we’re talking about.

“This four piece band from San Jose, California is a great band to introduce to your radio listening friends. They have that appeal to draw in that crowd but still keep their independent stoner sound. Singer Pete Sattari has a voice that is very similar to Travis Meeks (Days of The New). It really comes out in the opening track. That’s where the comparisons stop though. The entire album is heavy hitting and hard rocking. It doesn’t matter if you’re talking about “Halo,” “A Drug,” or “Somebody.” You can really get into the album on your drive somewhere, sitting around the house or if you’re having your friends over for some beers or whatnot.
