Rapper and embolador, vocalist and leader, together with Tiger, of the band As Faces do Subúrbio (from Pernambuco), Zé Brown presents now his solo work, full of references to regional music, to rap and to the several experiences and friendships he cultivated from de 1990’s, when he started to present himself as an MC.
From then on, Zé Brown travelled around the country taking part in big festivals such as Recbeat, and played at the suburbs of its main urban centers, cradle of Brazilian hip-h...

“Rémy Kolpa Kopoul, choose the song “Côco do Trava Lingua” for his last compilation, “Elektropik” and wrote about Zé Brown:
"Long before rap’s existence, the repente, a call-and-response singing, was already there in Brazil’s sertão or arid backcountry. In short, those were battles between speakers, a tradition that Zé Brown collects from Recife. At côco’s rhythm, with a pandeiro and a bass, he answers to his guest, Castanha (from the successful rural couple Cajú & Castanha), in hip-hop terms. His album, entitled “Repente, rap, repente” and produced by Skowa (from Trio Mocotó), is the trace of union between two worlds (city and country) and two Americas."
