Zadkiel are a Nottingham based three piece Alternative Rock/ Indie band, consisting of Dan Heathcote (Vocals/Guitar/Piano) Adam Jefferies (Bass) and Mark Smith (Drums) . Formed initially in 2002 with different memebers, the current line up was put together in February 2008. Lead singer Dan Heathcote has recorded 2 Ep's under the name Zadkiel..

The band's sound has been compared to Jeff Buckley, Nirvana, Radiohead and The Smashing Pumpkins. The lyrics immediately summon the visionary archetypal worlds of H.R.Giger and William Blake. This lyrical imagery is the core of the music, from which Dan has been able to create beautifully haunting vocal melodies and music that is at times wildly discordent and at other times darkly euphoric.

The band will soon be releasing their debut album THE SATURN RETURN on Nottingham indie label Unit 24 Records, this Autumn. It will be available to download for free from www.unit24.org, with an option of donations and is available via mail order  (£10 for a physical CD with artwork) also from the same site.(www.unit24.org).
