Bio
After playing lead guitar in cover bands, for more years than I care to admit, I wanted to go on my own to discover my own voice in music. That discovery has lead to "Wolfgang Carter". I write, produce and record all my own songs and perform all instruments including guitars, bass, drums and vocals. I am currently working on my first solo CD release entitled "Naked".
About
I would describe my music as an updated take on the classic/blues rock sound. I like to think of my music as something familiar but new all at the same time. I am not trying to change the musical landscape, just adding my style and sound to rock music genre.
Why this name?
Wolfgang is my real middle name and I chose Carter because it is a lot easier to pronounce, spell and search for than my real last name. Plus it sounded cool.
Do you play live?
Currently not playing live. Instead I am concentrating all my efforts on recording my first CD.
Your influences?
All music and life influences me. Stevie Wonder and James Brown for the funk. AC/DC for the rock and The Rolling Stones for the roll. Johnny Cash and Mick Jagger for the words. Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page and Stevie Ray Vaughn for the guitar solo.
I still love the blues and the sound of a heavy guitar with a good groove. I also like Depeche Mode, Lenny Kravitz, Aerosmith, The Who, The Replacements and Prince.

Favorite spot?
First Ave Nightclub in Minneapolis, MN
Equipment used:
My main electric guitar is a Gibson Les Paul Studio with Dean Markley Blue Steel strings. My second electric is an Arbor telecaster copy that has been customized and I use Daddario strings on that one. I also record with two different acoustic/electrics and one 12 sring acoustic guitar.
