Your music is the best parts of Finntroll, Dimmu Borgir, and Amon Amarth all in one tightly knit package. Fucking EPIC!!!

Q: Can you talk about what sort of gear you use to create your sound? I have noticed that the guitar sound is very dry and thrashy, with a nice saturated distortion; can you talk about that?

A: The tone you hear on Songs for the Slain is a combination of two different setups. One is my (Draug) personal Line 6 amp programmed with my tone that I use for live shows. The guitar ran through that and a Marshall cab with an Orange head simultaneously. The brittle attack comes more from the Line 6 while the warmth comes from the Orange/Marshall combination. We also used two different guitars: An Epiphone Les Paul with passive EMGs and a BC Rich Eagle which had punchier and warmer tones respectively and were used for different sections of each song.
