Walter Moreland started his career in music in New York City with a group known as New System, but soon changed groups and became a founding member of the group Mark IV. The group's first hit record was "Honey I Still Love You" on a small label. The song's popularity soon boasted them to a new record deal with Mercury in the early '70s.
