On what promises to be a night of Moratuwa blues and pure rock and roll, the band will be joined by their musician friends in aid of children who need the power of music to help them begin their journey in education. The children, students of the Sevena Pre-school, hail from families living in Moratuwa coastal belt areas most affected by the December 2004 Tsunami. The Sevena Pre-School is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing these children with basic education, and was funded from 2004-2010 by generous donors. Unfortunately for these children, the funding for the school was stopped at the end of 2010. The school now works on meager resources and will possibly have to face the risk of closure – the result of which could deprive these children of a fundamental right, the right to education.
