Details provided by Mr. Riyen Roots: My new labor of love. I'll be hosting a new songwriter's night featuring a variety of local professional and amature songwriters for an evening celebrating our mutual love for writing and performing songs. The goal of this new performance series is to provide the perfect intimate setting for local artists to perfect their craft by performing their material in a live setting along with other like minded artists that can share tips on the songwriting process and discuss our songs over a few drinks all the while, taking turns sharing our songs on stage. Not a competition or a songwriter round, just a comfortable, free flowing gathering of artists. Any acoustic music genre is welcome. PA is provided. Just bring your instrument and some supportive friends. The stage at Foggy Mountain Brewpub is very inspiring to perform on, and the atmosphere in this perfectly designed room is sure to help create what we are sure will be a go to spot for both professional and aspiring songwriters here in the music rich mountains of Asheville, North Carolina. Free simple digital recordings of your performances available on request. More info www.foggymountainavl.com — at Foggy Mountain Brewpub. To help kick off our first night, I am humbled and honored to announce that Andrea Lee of Voodoo Wedding. Brevard's Dustin N Lauren Maxwell of Dust n' the Wynn, Michael L Carver and Mare Carmody of Carver & Carmody, and a few more surprise guests will be in the house to bless us with their music. Gonna be a very memorable evening and the beginning of something truly beautiful.
The Voodoo Wedding duo will return to the Crow & Quill for another great show featuring special guest Steven Smith! Steven co-founded Voodoo Wedding with Andrea Lee in 2009 and will be joining the duo for a little Voodoo Reunion Night! It's sure to be a special show!
Voodoo Wedding is back in support of their upcoming EP entitled "Whiskey & Wine". As a special treat, the young and talented Darien Crossley will be performing an opening set.
Lovely blues, folk, indie, singer/songwriterish music this Sunday at the Crow & Quill! Ok, there's probably no point in trying to attach genres at this point. These musicians are too talented and cover too much territory for that. Hailing from New Orleans, Shine Delphi is a man who loves to travel and loves to play music even more. His style is a mixture of blues, jazz, and folk with a pop cherry on top. And Asheville's own Andrea Lee (of Andrea Lee & Voodoo Wedding). She was recently featured at the Asheville Acoustic Guitar Project and will be coming back to regale us with more beautiful compositions. As always, there is no mandatory cover, but we are asking for a contribution of $5-$10. Show starts at 9pm!

“In this video, local singer/songwriter Andrea Lee sings an original tune — "Hot Popcorn" — joined by two of her bandmates from The Voodoo Wedding. It's a good song, and they were great sports about being recorded... It's a good example of a nearly fantastic recording”

Q: When will "Don't make me miss you" be available?
A: As soon as possible! We're in the process of booking our spring & summer right now and are looking to record our full-length album this fall. In the meantime, you can watch the video of me performing it at Tressa's in downtown Asheville. Stay tuned for some surprises along the way... <3 -a.lee
