Bio: The Renaissance Art Space is the place to go for live poetry readings, jazz, R&B, rock, funk, acoustic, gospel, community dialogue, a good book, performance art and visual art, fashion, etc… You name it (literally) and we’ll make it happen as long as it is artistic and/or intellectually stimulating. The Renaissance Art Space is located at 143 Main Street [3rd Floor] in the South End of Springfield, MA. The venue has been in operation since March of 2012, and has grown to become one of the premier venues for “LIVE” (independent / soul music / spoken word / jazz / acoustic / alternative) bands in the Western Massachusetts. The Art Space specializes in Indie Soul Music, Indie Rock, R&B, Jazz, and Reggae; along with special events & activities (The Dating Game, Dinner & Dialogue, Movie Night, Community Forums, and Dance Instruction). It is an intimate venue; you’re never more than about 50 feet from the stage. One of the great characteristics of artistically poignant arts and entertainment is its ability to appeal to people of all ages, races, ethnic backgrounds. The Renaissance Art Space programming is reflective of the wealth of colors, textures and flavors that comprise this geographic region.
