Bio: Palos Verdes Street Fair & Music Festival June 11 & 12, 2011 www.PVStreetFair.com The 24th Annual Palos Verdes Street Fair & Music Festival, presented by Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center Torrance, takes place Saturday, June 11 from 10am-10pm and Sunday, June 12 from 10am-9pm. Located in Rolling Hills Estates, the Fair is the biggest event on the Palos Verdes Peninsula and the most popular in the South Bay. With more than 200 premier arts & crafts booths, carnival rides for all ages, continuous live entertainment on two stages, an International Food Court & Beer Garden, a free children’s petting zoo, pony rides & kid-friendly activities, the Fair promises to be loads of fun for everyone. All-day carnival ride wristbands cost $25. “Tribute bands” will bring back the sounds of pop, country, jazz & rock groups. More than 40,000 fair-goers can learn about their health in the “Healthy Lifestyles” area. The Top Dogs Dog Show is a tail-wagging good time. New this year, Saturday is Pet Adoption Day under the Big Tent. Proceeds from the Fair support the Chamber’s student & educational scholarships, free “business success” seminars, pet adoptions and environmental groups.
