Echoing some of the great folk, pop and rock unions of the 60's and 70's as well as the newest super-groups and dream bands spanning the globe these days, US Rails emerges as the underdog collective of songwriters, singers and musicians who deliver not just a night of cool songs and great harmony. US Rails leaves you with the kind of lingering memory that you may have experienced hearing some of these bands live for the very first time.

“US Rails is a collective of songwriters, singers and musicians who met originally in the Philadelphia area, but have since scattered all over the map. The band includes Philly favorites Ben Arnold, Joseph Parsons and Scott Bricklin, along with Tom Gillam and Matt Muir. Together, the blend is unique. Four of five were involved with the band 4 Way Street, but while that act -- which also included Jim Boggia -- rehashed material from each member's solo efforts, US Rails does a more original set, with songs specific to the band itself - all delivered in effortless, joyful harmony. All five members perform individually. Songs such as "Rainwater" (from Ben Arnold) and "Gonna Shine" (from Joseph Parsons) underscore the differences in style and vocal timbre of each band member. Add in Bricklin's thoughtful lyrics, along with Gillam's killer slide guitar and Lowell George-ish singing style, and you're in for a real treat.”
