This event's about bringing together ears from all over, and cultivating a "book" for this music - we want to create a book for SoulJazz, Boogaloo - a style so identifiable but not yet fully identified. And this is how we plan to do it: Each week, I'll have a house band - organ, drums, and guitar or horn - and the session will be open to all instruments. I'm going to run it not unlike other jam sessions - doin' my best to see to it that both the players and the audience are enjoyin' they sef....
