'Northcote Beach Party' feat. FLAP! and MIKELANGELO & THE TIN STAR Melbourne's Flap! play original music that is both old and new, inspired by the entire human diaspora. Influences from 1920s jazz, Gypsy brass, English folk and Trinidadian calypso can be heard peeping through their antipodean vein. Joining Flap! at this show will be Mikelangelo & The Tin Star, who sound like they have barrelled straight out of a classic Tarantino film. All blazing tremolo guitars and thundering drums, frontman Mikelangelo is part '50s crooner, part beast possessed - the debonair bastard love child of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and Lux Interior, with a voice deeper than the deep blue sea and the sharpest suit collection this side of the equator. Watch Flap! performing live here. Fri 8 FebDoors 8:30$15+bf$17 at the door if still availableBuy Tickets
