Q: Hi, just discovered your music at the tender age of 42, where have you been! The band name please explain, its genius.

A: Hi David, Here's the answer to your question as it appears on a recent blog interview that we gave. Owen: Well, ‘The Netherlands’ is slang for the nether regions of the body - having a ‘tingle in the Netherlands’ is a phrase which Helên uses. When we were thinking of a name for the band we were randomly playing with words and phrases and I came out with it, and we both thought it was funny. Given that our original brief for the band was to do ‘stupid stuff’ it fitted well with that, and we liked the sound of it. Plus it’s memorable and great for search engines. Here's a link to the full interview if you're interested. Thanks for the follow on here an fb too. (HT) http://anthologymusic.org/2013/03/31/tingle-in-the-netherlands-interview/
