Born 1974 (the year of the tiger) Tigermoth, a.k.a. TiM Paterson, had a passion for music as far back as he can remember, but his love for hip-hop, like many, began towards the end of the eighties when he was introduced to Run DMC, NWA, De La Soul and Ice T, via late night music television programming. However, it was Public Enemy that would have the biggest impact on him.
