John and Ryan decided to start a band in the summer of 2007, after a couple of years of Ryan dragging his feet (for no good reason).
A couple of months into it, Mike volunteered to be the lead singer. John and Ryan were skeptical (because everyone thinks they can sing), so they made Mike go to some karaoke bars to see if he could actually carry a tune. Well it turns out he wasn't lying, so now they had a lead singer.
Well the 3 of them wanted a very dance oriented sound, so they decided to purchase a few keyboards. However, someone to play these keyboards was needed, so they called upon their friend Ariane to fill the void. Once 2008 was in full swing the name "Thought Thieves" was agreed upon for this musical venture.
