'the word rhythm' is a group comprised of Konrad (producer/emcee), Marjay (vocalist/songwriter), JB(emcee/dancer) and DJ Skilly.
Konrad came up producing for artists all over north america but is known in B.C. for his work on the "POS presents Buckslice Compilation" as the executive producer and engineer. In 2005 Konrad came out with "Konrad presents: I PHREAK NEW YORK" featuring some of the finest emcees from NY, Seattle and Vancouver. Konrad has opened for many big acts coming through the city, such as Tha Alkaholiks, CVE, Tone deff, and the list goes on. keep an eye and ear out for his newest production, the OLD MONEY cd, featuring emcees, Scheme (Brooklyn NY) and Cadence cambrige (Bronx NY).
Being talented at both singing and dancing, Marjay has been a part of many different performance groups in Vancouver, but is most deeply involved in an all female hip-hop crew called SVS who perform frequently all over north america. Previously a member of the local R&B group DIVERSE, Marjay continues her singing and songwriting thru her involvement in the group 'the word rhythm'.
JB, short for his real name, Justin Broadnax is an up and coming emcee from Richmond who is now starting to make his mark on the local scene. JB is most known for his ability to freestyle and is a winner of a good amount of battles north america wide.With an easy going and strong personality JB is definitely someone who you will see at your nearest club dancing with your girlfriend.

dj skilly aka skilla scam was born in jerusalem in the early eighties and moved to north america at the age of ten with his mother. he began
djing at the age of fifteen when he was introduced to hip-hop by his mothers then boyfriend, sixty-second assassin from the wu-tang clan. In
his ten plus years in the game skilly has released dozens of mixtapes, rocked about a million jams and had the pleasure of opening for acts
like the artist formally known as prince, the gza,dj green lantern, the alkaholics, smokey robinson and shyheim just to name a few.besides word
rythem, skillys also a member of pos crew, dem dudes crew, bionic 2, eastvan alley cats and bhd. he now resides in east vancouver with his
baby momma and son dj lil' sac. when not djing or recording skilly enjoys brews and stayin gully.
