THE BITTER END IS GETTING DISMISSED!!!!! THE BITTER END IS GETTING DISMISSED!!!!! YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST!!!!!! Everybody from Neil Young to Gil Scott Heron to Lady Gaga has played Bleecker Street's legendary Bitter End. It's a rite of passage, a requisite part of the early trajectory of anyone who's anyone in music. Well, now it's our turn! It's a Friday night, so head over from work to let loose and kick off the Fourth of July weekend right! For all the D.C./Philly/Boston folks, this could be the perfect excuse to come to NYC early for the extended July 4th holiday . . . so come one, come all, and watch the Bitter End get Dismissed!!!!!!!
The Lower East Side sure isn't what it used to be. A century ago, when Ari's great-grandparents lived there, it was dingy, cramped, and certainly not anyone's idea of a destination. They would be ferblungit if they could see the swanky music venues that define the neighborhood today, including the Delancey . . . where we're performing on April 14! 168 Delancey Street, just off the F train. 8:00pm. Be there!
Any given Saturday, you can go out and hear music in NYC . . . but it's not every day that you can get some FREE HAMANTASCHEN to go with it!!!!! Yep, you read that right: these scrumptious triangular fruit-filled pastries are yours for the taking . . . but you gotta come to the show! Everyone who comes gets to partake, and whoever brings the most new people wins an entire box! And this is the good stuff I'm talking about, from Zabar's! But remember, if you want the hamantaschen, you gotta come to the show! The details are: The Summarily Dismissed Bar East 1733 1st Avenue (at 90th Street) Saturday, March 10, 2012 7:00pm $10 Cover Advance Tickets: http://www.smarttix.com/show.aspx?showcode=UPP10
