“Let's meet my favorite new band of 2012! [...] Imagine if the Beatnik Termites had a female singer, and they were Italian. [...] Buoyed by bright, propulsive guitars and Stella's bubby vocals, The Sensibles have got a fun, high energy sound that transports me straight to my happy place. The self-titled EP offers up four songs that are short and sweet (literally!), with melodies that will thankfully be stuck in my head all day. I'm having a hard time picking a standout track, because all four are exuberant blasts of aural sunshine. And those hooks are relentless. “I Sensibles sono dediti ad un power pop dall’approccio punk’n’roll, tra Ramones e Real Kids, e ci propinano ben quattro brani (il 7” in effetti viaggia a 33 giri, come un LP) che centrano in pieno il target, rivelandosi freschi e dinamici, con melodie catchy di forte presa che hanno il grande pregio di stamparsi subito nei neuroni e farti battere il piedino. L’esecuzione è ottima, la compattezza del suono e l’affiatamento di Giacomo, Fili e Ga pure, la voce di Stella dà quel tocco squisitamente femminile che, personalmente, nel rock’n’roll mi piace moltissimo e mi ricorda le Snatch di Patti Palladin e le Miny Skirt Mob o, per rimanere nel presente, Caroline & The Treats. “L’opera di quattro ragazzi sensibili che, invece di tenersi tutto dentro, lo sputano fuori a colpi di punk-pop. E le loro influenze le capirete già dai primi secondi di open book: party-punk divertente e spensierato, rock’n'roll per schitarrate che danno vita a giri semplici ma efficaci. Semplicità ed immediatezza che scivoleranno nel pop’n'roll in John Bambi, che in un paio di passaggi arriverà a ricordare i Weezer. C’è però da dire che quando spingono un pò di più, io li preferisco: prendete Denny, che ritorna sulle scelte iniziali, che continua a suonare punk-pop per niente debole. Ricordano un pò Heike Has The Giggles, un pò anche Girless & The Orphan (perchè no) e la voce da al tutto un sapore molto j-punk. Una bella ricetta, come già detto in precedenza, semplice ed efficace. Mi ripeto, lo so, ma è così, c’è poco da fare. La finale Dino veste il gruppo di garage-rock, sarà forse perchè mi ricordano (molto) i White Stripes quando rifacevano “Rated X” ”

“Fresco fresco di release party, ecco qua un 7” tutto fatto in casa, dalla produzione, alla distribuzione, alle grafiche, carinissime e, come ormai di consueto, animate dai personaggi creati dalla mano di Stella. 4 pezzi inediti con cui entriamo in contatto con i “nuovi” Sensibles in quanto di recente ci sono state importanti novità nella line up che ha registrato dei cambi alla chitarra ed alla batteria. Questo disco è quindi la prima prova con cui i brianzoli si testano nella loro nuova veste e devo dire che il test è riuscito alla perfezione. Non è cambiato di certo il loro stile di fare pop punk, sempre melodico, spensierato e molto bubblegum, ma sicuramente i pezzi, a parte la lenta Dino, hanno una verve, un piglio più deciso rispetto a prima (specie dal vivo) anche quando la chitarra si fa più leggera come in John Bambi o Denny.”

“The Sensibles propongono 4 brani che mischiano PowerPop e Bubblegum che, nonostante le chitarre dritte e distorte, ricordano il sound di Nikki Corvette. Se Open Book e Denny vi faranno canticchiare aggiungendo un'altra voce sui coretti sovraincisi e John Bambi vi farà dondolare la testa a tempo, Dino, brano più lento, che chiude il 7" in maniera strategica, vi lascerà sorridenti e con la voglia di girare il disco e riposizionare la puntina sul lato A. Rispetto alle produzioni precedenti le canzoni sono più lente e melodiche risultando più romantiche e rilassate, ma non per questo perdono in grinta che, dettata da una batteria precisa e da un muro di chitarra, rimane un tratto distintivo della band.
