"To lead you into the weekend, I bring you Point Break, a band based out of Duke. The group is very unique consisting of five members including a saxophonist, a lead guitarist, drummer, bassist, and Alex Starr on guitar and vocals. Alex said that “Almost all of our songs have some form of reggae in them and we aim to infuse some balls into the genre while still keeping shit laid back.” In their first album Coming Up for Air they do exactly that. A genre that is basically untouched in the college scene, Point Break takes songs such as White Panda’s “SteroHands” and adds a little dub. I was only going to add a few songs, but the whole thing deserves a listen because it’s that good. Check out Point Break because they’ve got something special here, enjoy."
