Bio

The Raygun Girls is a Hard Rock group that has been compared to Lacuna Coil, Evanescence, Killing Joke and Static X.

Created as a studio only group, the band focused on having male and female vocals over a bed of crunching guitars and danceable, but aggressive beats. The feedback for the first album, “Mars Eclipsing” (2004), was so great, that the music had to be taken to the stage.

As the live band wrote new music, focus was put on having a female lead vocalist. In 2006 a lead guitarist joined, helping the band to grow from Gothic/Industrial to Hard Rock. “The Ones I Denied” was released soon after.

Upon the strength of songs like “Sleep” and “Can’t Die Now”, The Raygun Girls played the Rock Solid Pressure A&R Showcase. The band put together a tour and headed South. With only a 10 minute set, The Raygun Girls were offered deals by labels in attendance.

In 2007, new vocalist, Cila, joined The Raygun Girls, bringing power, excitement and energy.

After the departure of the lead guitarist, The Raygun Girls regrouped with stronger material, and recorded their full-length album Dirt Collector, due out in the Winter of 2008.
