The Raven was born in the winter of 2007, and gave birth to Euro-American metal or which they are now calling Dance Metal. Formed by Davey Strehler, after moving to Florida from Switzerland. The Raven has taken European Melancholy and distorted it with an aggressive air of Hollywood glam/metal adding a variety of styles from classical to world.
Their core is metal, but do not attempt to label them. They are melodic, yet hysterical, safe, yet dangerous. The Raven isn’t shy when it comes to experimenting with different sounds. Their is nothing root about anyone or anything in this band.
The Raven has just finished recording their debut E.P titled “One Last Time,” which was released on Friday the 13th 2009
