"The Photo Atlas sports an aggressive indie punk sound... a frenetic Brit rock dance punk amalgam, a blazing cross between Fugazi and Gang of Four."

The Photo Atlas are the young Einsteins of the cacophonous dance party. Their dynamic post-punk tinged dance jams brings any audience to their feet. The group's music blends the angularity and drive of Fugazi, the gut-punch of At The Drive-In and the infectiousness of Bloc Party all into one explosive little package. Hard to believe the act is rooted in Denver, CO, far removed from the hip burgeoning scenes of the more familiar musical Meccas. The Photo Atlas came together only four years ago, self-releasing the Ways You Once Thought Were A Short Cut EP in the winter of 2003. Their adrenaline packed live shows seduced the ears, eyes and imagination of local Denver club owners. It didn't take long before the group caught the instant attention of Morning After Records, who released the original version of the act's first full length, No, Not Me, Never, in 2004. Over the course of the next year, the band toured across the US, including an opportunity to showcase before music industry executives at the reputable SXSW festival in Austin, TX. It was there where Stolen Transmission Records (based in New York) immediately fell in love with their distinct sound, inked a deal with the band and welcomed The Photo Atlas to their roster in 2006. Stolen Transmission re-released No, Not Me, Never with three additional songs, in early 2007. Since then, The Photo Atlas continues to prove their diligence through music. Their highly acclaimed No, Not Me, Never continues to receive rave reviews and has saturated the college radio market. They have been touring relentlessly, playing packed clubs to high profile music festivals all across the country. Currently, they're in the preliminary writing stages for their next release, sure to outdo anything they've done before. The Photo Atlas has made it their mission to get their music heard worldwide, proving to all that if the music isn't fun, what's the point?
