As part of the 2011 Buffalo Infringement Festival, Marla Mase and legendary guitarist Tomás Doncker perform Mase's rock opera A Brief Night Out -- a tale of a woman breaking down, reassessing her life, brimming with sexy anxiety and obsessing on war. Following the performance is a new band recently making waves in the Buffalo local music pool. Male and female vocals, a resonator guitar, electric bass, violin/viola, and for percussion tap dancing. Their style is hard to pin down, but is most easily labeled folk. Albeit, a sometimes darker, creepier folk, with hints of blues, jazz, flamenco, and country. They deliver their sound with a strong energy and a natural, unfiltered flavor. Drink them down.
