Bio

I have always listened to music from when I was a little kid, a whole assortment of different sounds and styles. My parents like old school dance music, to rock’n’roll since their childhood, so my love of music started with that. It all really started when I was about 12 years old, when I first heard ‘garage‘, and once I heard it, that was all I listened too from then on. It was the same for everyone I knew, my brother, who is two years older then me, along with his mates, started to mc to beats, and also started to DJ.

About

I used to hang out with them, and watch and learn. My way of getting in with them, was to start to DJ, so I tried it, but I wasn’t any good. So instead, my brother started teaching me how to write lyrics. This, I picked up very quickly, it just clicked with me, was natural to me, and I knew, from that moment, that was what I wanted to do. When I started getting better, all my friends started to mc, and it was about two years later from when I first started, when me and my friends got a little garage crew together and called it MEDALINE MOBB. We started making little cassette tapes, which were poor quality, but to us, it was the best thing on road. We basically did that sort of thing until I was in year 11 at secondary school, by then we had progressed to recording straight onto CD’s, and also performing clashing sessions against other crews in our town. It was then that I got the name K.O KID when we were doing a free styling session; they were all knocked out by my lyrics. It was when I started college, that I met one of my best and closest mates. He had a home studio right next to the college, so we used to go to his yard at lunch break, and just jive to beats and drop a track, nearly everyday. It was really when I was doing this, that I started to learn how to structure songs, and writing lyrics about real events in my life, like finding love & losing it, experiencing pain and happiness and hate!. My whole life can be explained through my songs; I can explain and express an event, through my lyrics. I listen to all types of genres of music, and its doing that, which gives me inspiration for new tracks, flows, and beats. I try not to just stick to one style of music, I am quite diverse with music, I like doing real grime tracks, but then I like to flow on acoustic tracks. I basically, just love making and performing music.
