The Goonies (hip hop with a live band) (2008 Sammy award Best New Band) and (2009 Best of Syracuse) are comprised of Peter Cappelli (Clam Weezy - lead vocals), Langston Masingale (Illumination - lead vocals), Kinyatta King on drums, Andy Willis on bass, Adam Fisher on guitar
The Goonies began as a novelty. Commanding songwriting, colorful blues construction, and the aggressive rhythm backing of live musicians, the Goonies combine an interesting array of band-composed music with the bravado of two distinctive MCs.The mission of the Goonies' music is simple, to take the live show back to when music was fun and the crowd was the musicians' oyster.

The band is currently getting some attention in the UK as well, due to a discovery by BBC radio. We've also been played on TK99.1, Syracuse University Redhouse Radio and many more to come.
