The Five Percent are based out of Northeastern, PA and consist of members Matt Ralph (Vocals / Guitar), Neil Nicastro (Guitar), Brian Keating (Bass), and Matt Smallcomb (Drums). Since forming in 2005 The Five Percent has released 3 full length original albums entitled 3483 Seconds of Your Life, Our Life,and, Making Some Sense of Today. The most recent two, Our Life, and Making Some Sense of Today, were produced by Grammy nominated producer Jack Gauthier at his Lakewest Recording Studio in Rhode Island. The first track on Making Some Sense of Today also features guest vocals from Pete Francis of the band Dispatch. The Five Percent have been the premiere act in the Scranton / Wilkes-Barre area for the last 2 years playing sometimes 5 or 6 shows a week to loyal fans in and around their hometown. They were named Best Local Artists by Diamond City Magazine in 2006 where they are constantly featured in articles written about the local music scene. The Five Percent has also toured the country twice in the last two years performing their incredible live show in over 40 states and gaining fans in all four corners of the country.  They have also shared the stage with members of Dispatch and Opened for Graham Colton in South Bend, Indiana. They have sold over 7,000 copies of their last 2 albums and have begun writing for their next album that is due out later in 2008.  Most recently The Five Percent were featured in a segment called "Should I stay or should I go" on the Frosty, Heidi, and Frank show (97.1 Free FM Los Angeles, CA) where listeners called in and voted for the band to "Stay" which for those who listen to the show frequently know, that is a great accomplishment.  For more information on the band you can check out www.myspace.com/thefivepercent and www.thefivepercent.com
