the CHEAP THRILLS the LAST YEARS the SEKS $5 DOORS: 8 PM / SHOW: 9 PM the CHEAP THRILLS are a new band from Montreal with members of the Bators, the Fishnet Stalkers and the Heart Attacks. They are bringing back that catchy 70′s glam powerpop sound with a fresh energy. The band is a four-piece but they kick out the jams with a bunch of musicians (harmonica, percussion, piano, saxophone) and female vocalists on stage. With a 5 song EP coming soon and their first music video on its way, get ready for some rock ‘n’ roll at its finest. the LAST YEARS: We like to party and get loaded and be rowdy and do drugs and blackout and spill beer and use obscene language and pet kittens and talk about our feelings and help out the elderly. We love the USA. We love San Diego! We love San Diegans! We want YOU to PARTY with US!!! the SEKS: A couple of local San Diego pervs, Nox and Jawsh, got together and pulled in a couple of San Diego legends to fill in the void of music that was quite apparent. They enlisted Gaylene (Noisegod) and Chris (Dead Daze) to round out the rhythmic talent and started writing some of the filthiest, yet most elegant “alternative” music one could hope for. Gaylene has moved on to focus on her own punk project and Luis Youth has been enlisted to keep the show fresh and SeKsy. With themes ranging from storybooks to politics to attitude, the SeKs are a dynamic band that’ll hold your attention until your pants fall down.
