We are hosting an Indonesian Punk benefit show at Rosetta's downtown! we will be featuring footage/music/art in dedication to the aceh punks who were recently taken hostage by their government and stripped of their way of life just because of how they look. as a result, punks from around the world are doing what they can to help fight this cowardly attack on human rights. these people have families and jobs and most importantly they have the right to be who and what they are without fear of government retaliation. we will be collecting items at the door along with monetary support and sending a punk care package to contacts we have on the islands. Bring studs, zines, cd's, art, bleach kits, patches, hair dye and whatever else we can send that'll piss off their fascist oppressors! also, we are putting together a much needed asheville punk compilation and will be selling them at the show and making as many copies we can of it and sending over to indonesia free of charge to them. we will also be handing out indonesian punk cd's at the benefit to spread their message and to spark interest within the scene and beyond.
