Just after the break-up of their former band at the end of 2007, the Allardson Brothers and Hugo Clarence reunite, forming what is going to be The Black Flowers, a rock band whose music combines the powerful sound of 70’s rock’n’roll legends with the spontaneity of punk rock. After a few months of rehearsal, the trio welcome Hugo Davis, who becomes the fourth member. In late august 2008, the band spends 48 hours in studio to record their first EP. Six tracks are then sent to Brooklyn, NY to be mixed by producer Michael Di Santo. The EP "Set Free The Devil Inside" is released on the label Shout It Loud records on March 2009 and receives an enthusiastic welcome by the press and public. After a tour in France and UK in may 2009, the band is back on the road with new material recorded and mixed at Rock On Studio by Mr Johnny Cat (the boys , Backstreet Girls,...) and mastered in Canada by Glen Robinson ( AC/DC , The Ramones, Deep Purple , Iggy Pop, etc...)
