The band’s debut release was particularly championed by Kerrang! Radio, BBC Introducing and was “single of the week” on inthenews.co.uk above major label artists. Securing support slots with Guillemots and Cage The Elephant, sponsorship from Jagermeister and a tour of Prague.

Currently working on their new single release with Producer Gareth Parton (The Go! Team) due for release in the second half of 2009, and appearing at Leeds Festival in August, The Amateurs are having a wonderful year and going from strength to strength whilst doing so.
