Tephlon hails from Uniondale, Long Island and is the sixth of seven children born to Jamaican parents. Tephlon credits his large family and their wide appreciation for music with his love for hip-hop. By 4 he began freestyling on the way to school. Hanging with the older siblings meant exposure to video music box and hot97; to Biggie Smalls, Jay-Z, Rakim, and KRS-1 who would shape his appreciation for the art form. He continued to hone his talent while planning to pursue Real Estate Investment. By 18, Tephlon's love for hip-hop and performing was overpowering and he decided to follow his heart and become an MC. His one year old daughter contributes to his inspiration and passion for rapping. Tephlon is determined to bring hip-hop back!
