Gasoline Stove Roots Rock/ Americana band, Gasoline Stove picks up where Memphis the Band leaves off. Chapel Hill Singer/songwriter/novelist Scott Morgan, is joined by former bandmates including Jon Baughman on upright bass. While still traveling "roots-lined roads" Gasoline Stove explores soul and rock with bits of folk tucked in during this storytelling extravaganza. Their first album, Vultures on the Mainframe, features "admirable Dylan and Waits homages," RIck Cornell, The Independent Weekly. Dead Mule Songs, their second album, was just completed in July. http://www.reverbnation.com/gasolinestove Kitty Box and the Johnnys Kitty Box & The Johnnys is a 4 piece made up of Taz Halloween (Song Maker upper/Vocalist/Guitarist/Castinets/Quips) Marty Johnson (Bass/Vocals/Quips) Luke McMahan (Drums/Vocals/Sound Wizard/Quips) Pete Gamble (Guitarist/Quips) We're just a buncha quippersnappers. Marty has played in the X-Men & Melissa & The Swinglers, led by Melissa Swingle. Pete played with Killer Filler, Secret Service & many others. Sad to say I don't know what bands Luke has played in, but he has *mixed* MANY & all that matters to selfish little ole me is that he is with us now. Put all of this together & you get twangy, swampy, carnival, Bond, burlesque-esque, boom chicka boom boom, way out man, fonky tonk bloody screamy stuff, Indie-cent, countriana. http://www.reverbnation.com/tazhalloween
