For Rick & Tammy Stewart's Weekend Songwriter Showcase, I'll be performing for a half-hour at a special time, 6:30 PM, to celebrate my wife's upcoming birthday. That's right, Dawn will be in town. If you know me at all, you know that's a big deal. Great food, free parking and never a cover charge! See you there. Please pass it on!

Q: What is your idea of a perfect song?
A: One that is both creative, grabs your attention, and is still expressed in a raw and genuine way. Like the song Breakeven by the Script. Or "I Drive Your Truck" by Lee Brice. Or "I Hope You Dance" by Lee Ann Womack. All of those are great songs, because they say something in a way that's never been said without sounding like they're trying too hard.
