Pianist Tania Stavreva was born in Bulgaria and started playing the piano at the age of four. Her skills improved remarkably and over the next year, she gave her first solo recital at the age of five in her native country Bulgaria. Her first piano teacher was Greta Anastasova. In 1989 Tania's family moved to Plovdiv where she continued her piano studies with the famous piano pedagogue Rosita Ivancheva, with whom she has studied for thirteen years.

Tania graduated from the National Music School "Dobrin Petkov" for gifted children in Plovdiv as a Piano Performance Major in May 2003 with high distinction in both academics and performance. Two years before graduating from the Music School, she had the opportunity to work with the great Bulgarian concert pianist Krassimir Gatev. In 1997, the Mayor of Haskovo, Atans Vasilev, awarded Tania the Medal "Nedialka Simeonova" for "enriching the musical art and culture in our town Haskovo." She was also featured on a live national TV and radio broadcast performing solo piano pieces by the acclaimed Bulgarian composer Alexander Tanev. She received the "Sarkis Baltaian" Award in recognition of her "outstanding artistic achievements and high concert activity during the 2002-2003 school seasons". 

Tania Stavreva was the winner of numerous piano competitions including the National "Franz Schubert" Piano Competition in Russe, 2001 and the "Dobrin Petkov" Young Pianists Competition in Plovdiv, 1996 where she also received the "special prize for best virtuosic performance". Tania has given many concerts and solo recitals in prestigious concert venues in Europe and the United States such as the Sanders Theatre, Fogg Museum of Art, Seully Hall, Steinert Hall, Yamaha Piano Salon NY, Boston Public Library, Sala dei Notari Perugia, Cathedral San Lorenzo Perugia, Teatro Metastasio Assisi, Kaji Aso Studio Art Gallery Concert Series, Regional Ethnographic Museum-Plovdiv, DNA Concert Hall, House-Museum "Balabanov" and many others. 

Tania Stavreva appeared in numerous music festivals among which are the Music Fest Perugia, XXXIII Musical Days "Nedialka Simeonova" in Haskovo, The New Music Festival in Boston and the Varna Summer International Music Festival. She was selected to participate in public Master classes with such distinguished artists as Jerome Lowenthal, Oxana Yablonskaya, Alexander Braginsky, Boris Bloch, John Perry, Luiz de Moura Castro, Vladimir Viardo, Enrique Graf, Ivo Kalchev, Kimihico Katajima, Gil Shohat, Janice Weber, Jonathan Bass, Jung-Ja Kim, Atanas Kurtev, Tamara Poddubdaya, Anton Dikov, Milena Mollova, Stella Dimitrova, Victor Chuchkov, Jose Feghali, Banjamin Ravitz and Iovcho Krushev.

Currently Tania just completed her Bachelor of Music Degree in Piano Performance at The Boston Conservatory as a full scholarship student of the famous pianist Michael Lewin. She has performed widely in Boston, and has distinguished herself at the Conservatory by winning the Chamber Music Honors Competition in 2005, the Alfred Lee Piano Scholarship Competition in 2006 and the Piano Honors Competition in 2007.  In May 2007, Tania was invited to join The National Music Honor Society "Pi Kappa Lambda" "in recognition and encouragement of demonstrating the highest level of musical achievement and academic scholarship" at The Boston Conservatory. Her orchestra experiences include Sinfonia Perusina and The Boston Conservatory Symphony Orchestra where she performed under the baton of Maestro Enrico Marconi and Maestro Bruce Hangen. Tania was a faculty member at the Plus Music School and has recently joined the piano faculty at The Page Music Lesson Center where she is also the founder of the Page Music Performing Program.
