Sylvia Tosun sings in 10 languages and is an award-winning songwriter and performer. She attributes most of her success to her ongoing collaborations and the bringing together of strong and positive elements to create masterful productions. †Her artistry; truly distinctive and sophisticated, is delivered with a vitality and energy that unquestionably embraces the masses. Her voice, along with her gifts of melody and arranging, has earned a scholarship to the Juilliard School and has attracted some of the world's most renowned musical talents including the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, who cast Tosun as the role of "Fate" in their latest rock-opera, Beethoven's Last Night.
On her new album of original songs, "Jump In", Sylvia's powerful and passionate voice combined with world-rock rhythms, pop melodies, poetic metaphors and mystical undertones, creates a fresh new sound. Tosun delivers rich and multi-dimensional songs she co-writes with spiritual poet and lyricist, Julie Flanders and composer, Emil Adler (October Project). Produced with Miklos Malek (Anastasia, Celine Dion) and Mixed by Tom Lord-Alge (U2, Coldplay, Pink), JUMP IN is in a global and inspiring genre all its own that leaves a message of personal empowerment on the listener. *Several songs from "Jump In" featured in film and television including: CW11's Dawson's Creek, ABC's Beautiful People, and Showtime's "The L-Word."
