THE 18th ANNUAL-ISH SUNDAY SIXPACK – SEA SHEPHERD FUNDRAISER February 1, 2015 The SUNDAY SIXPACK AT THE TOTE is turning 18, that means is legal now, right? But with age comes responsibility and so this time the day will be raising funds for SEA SHEPHERD, one of the world’s most important warriors in the fight against the blatant exploitation of the natural world. And cheers to them! As usual it kicks off at 3pm with the complimentary TOTE BBQ courtesy of Keith Richards doppelgänger, Farmer Jeff (this time however he’ll be using his vegan tongs, but fear not, for it will be tasty). Then, just as you're wiping the veganity off ya gob, the first of six bands will crank into action at 3:30pm with 2-piece doom-bringers THE HIGH DRIFTERS. After them it’s a generous psychobilly rock’n’roll triple-fisting courtesy of Matt Black’s DOUBLEBLACK! At 5:30pm we welcome the very aptly titled CAPTAIN KICKARSE & THE AWESOMES back to Melbourne for the first time since their notorious Sunday Sixpack debut at The Tote in 2010. These guys are incredible – as are the band that follows them: SYDONIA (at 6:30pm) – without doubt one of Australia’s most respected and loved heavy bands, and they’ve always been big advocates for Sea Shepherd so we’re rapt to have them on board. After them, as the hot sun begins to set we’ll crank up the projectors and pull down the screen in readiness for a barrage of epic sounds and visuals courtesy of instrumental 4-piece, MUSHROOM GIANT, playing tracks off their new album “Painted Mantra”. But the visual extravaganza won’t end there, nor will the volume, because to close out the night at 9pm we have the infernal psychedeliciousness of the HOTEL WRECKING CITY TRADERS – hell yes! Best Sunday Sixpack evvveeerrr. And please, come support Sea Shepherd, they very much deserve it. Bring ya sunnies and a big hat and get your collective bums to the Sunday Sixpack at The Tote Hotel (71 Johnston Street, Collingwood) Sunday 1st February, 2015. $20 will buy you eight hours worth!

Bio: It is a challenge to define Sydonia, it is far easier to let those who have listened to their music and/or have seen them perform, paint the picture:
"Sydonia is a band that exemplifies the word 'diverse'. The best of pop sensibilities is tempered at times with brutal angst. 'No Woman's Land' is...See Full Bio
