The brain-child of lead singer Gig Michaels, Charlotte, North Carolina’s SwampDaWamp is the powerful and creative collaboration of six talented and seasoned musicians: Gig Michaels (lead vocals & acoustic guitar); David Lee (drums); Michael Hough (guitar & vocals); Keith Inman (guitar); Mike Huffman (keyboards, B3 & vocals); and Cody Bennett (bass). A band with an incomparable sound, the name instantly captures the band’s high-spirited energy & vibe. Not your typical run of the mill picture-perfect country-rockers, SwampDaWamp is an outside-the-box, real honest-to-goodness American band with an amazingly unique rock-country edge....and they are here for the party!
 

     Boasting of influences that run the gamut of musical genres, SwampDaWamp, a band of southern-born and raised, country fried rockers have created a distinctive sound truly their own. Infused with everything from rock to country to blues, when you hear that fun-loving sound, you know without a doubt it is SwampDaWamp.      The summer of 2009 finds the band soaring to new heights once again, With the release of their third effort "Rock This Country", (Big Penny Entertainment) SwampDaWamp paints a vivid picture of today’s blue-collarAmerica with a little good-feeling, rockin’ with a twang attitude.
 

     "Rock This Country" delivers twelve new exciting tunes. From the sexy rockin’ "Lady" to the fun tongue-in-cheek humor of "Helluva Night", the band salutes the beauty of today’s female. "Good God" tells a story of a man’s plight in love, and the crazy differences between men and women that often find men baffled and scratching their heads. "American Man" is a patriotic anthem for our hard-working everyday heroes who are America and damn proud of it. "Daddy Said" shows a softer side of the band with this touching and heartfelt story of a son who carries his Father’s words of wisdom with him. "Stoned" is a hilarious commentary on how some historical moments "might" have come about, the title says it all. The title track "Rock This Country", is this band’s high energy mission to do just that, ROCK THIS COUNTRY!
