Steve Fox, the soon-to-be famed spoken word artist and emerging screenwriter and filmmaker, is at heart, an expressionist who flawlessly combines Southern storytelling traditions with a strong and forceful hip-hop deliverance. His motivational motto, “Express Yourself to Experience More of Life” has guided him on a journey from his native Memphis, Tennessee neighborhoods to stages in front of thousands. Whether on college campuses nationwide, doing public service announcements, or live on stage Steve Fox’s passionate and thought-provoking performances always leave spectators riveted in a state of inspiration.

Fox discovered his kinship for the written art when he started college in 2004 at the University of Memphis and has since, never stopped creating. Already a shining star in his hometown, Fox realized his true talent after meeting Grammy Award winning spoken word artist J.Ivy (Kanye West's "College Dropout"). As Fox, laced J.’s poetical ears with his “Past, Present, Future” poem, J.’s comparison of Fox to Kanye West put a gleam in his eye and inspiration in his heart.

Fox further increased his local and regional presence by showcasing his lyrical talent in the forms of hip hop, and script and screenwriting. He has penned works for many including The Public Relations Students Society of America, Mr. Del, and aspiring comic book artist Brandon Stokes. His face has gained wide-spread familiarity inside and outside of his city. (St. Louis’ Legacy Café and Books, Middle Tennessee State University, The University of Memphis, A.I.D.S. Awareness, African Student Association’s A Night In Africa, and The Southwestern Black Student Leadership Retreat).

A true writer, artist and visionary, Fox has also begun tapping into his long-time love of filmmaking. This is his method to capturing his perspectives of the world in a way that poses the question, “Why?” His filmmaking endeavors will be unveiled in an up and coming documentary entitled, “The Truth Serum” as well as his book entitled the The Bus Stop Chronicles. Also coming in 2009, Fox will release his first full length spoken word/hip-hop album “Love Language” and his poetic autobiography partnered with one of America's most innovative urban artist, Carlos McClinton, entitled “See What I’m Saying”. Proceeding with making his dreams reality, Steve Fox lives and breathes artistic expression, stating, “I CAN ONLY IF I WILL”
