Bio
Longevity, consistency, and stability are adjectives rarely associated with independent rock bands; however, they are accurate descriptions of Stereo Deluxe, the Indianapolis-based power-pop quartet. Stereo Deluxe's four 24-year old members have been friends since childhood and playing music together since 1998. The band spent their formative years developing their sound under various band names playing literally hundreds of house parties, youth centers, and dive bars to anyone who would listen. The result of their journey is an energized, raucous, and fully-realized rock sound.
About
NEW ALBUM OUT NOW!
'When the Party's Over', the sophomore release from Stereo Deluxe, is the sound of a fearless band reinventing its sound by incorporating enhanced dynamics, raw energy, and invigorating melodies. In the studio, the band insisted on keeping first-take performances with a minimum of overdubs to accurately capture the sound of their live shows. Producers Eric Klee and Marc Johnson (John Waite, Supergrass, Jurassic 5) meticulously recorded the band live with vintage microphones and analog recording equipment. The record's rich sound, mastered by Andy VanDette (David Bowie, Rush, Metric) is an astonishing sonic experience. The record has many highlights including the emotional gut check of "All Over Again", the searing melodies of "The Corner", and the 4/4 stadium rocker "Southside Stomp".
Stereo Deluxe 'When the Party's Over' is OUT NOW on indie500 Records, with singles hitting radio and video channels, followed by a 2009 U.S. tour.
